An accident with consequences
Our co-worker Anthony Javed was injured in an accident – with serious consequences.
115 orphans are currently in great need, because our co-worker Anthony Javed dislocated his elbow in a moped accident that was not his fault. The other driver fled the scene.
As he cannot work as a lawyer at his law firm and there is no sick pay, he can no longer pay his rent and other costs. The urgently needed medical treatment is also impossible without health insurance and money.
Anthony has volunteered for Antoniushilfe e.V. for more than four years. Together with his wife Sajal, he brings the donated food to the children, organises necessary medical treatment – recently, for example, malaria treatment when almost all the children had fallen ill – and keeps in touch with the Dominican fathers who teach 86 orphans free of charge.
We are asking for your support to resolve this situation quickly – not least because of the pain Anthony is enduring, as he is currently receiving only painkilling injections instead of the treatment he needs.
I assure you that the approximately €1,500 for Anthony's treatment will be used exactly for that. Any donations beyond this will go to the children for food and the warm winter clothing that is now urgently needed.
For Antoniushilfe e.V. – Reiner Wettcke, Dobel, 12 November 2024
After great concern for Anthony, who had lost the movement of his left arm as a result of the accident, the sympathy of many friends of Antoniushilfe made it possible to carry out the necessary operation on his elbow joint. The physiotherapy that now follows will help Anthony to be fully healthy again soon.
We warmly thank everyone who helped – not least for your prayers!
