25 sewing machines for the orphans

With this campaign we want to give the mothers of the half-orphans the chance to contribute to their own and their children's keep.

A few weeks ago our co-workers in Pakistan, Sajal and Anthony, asked the children's mothers how they could help provide for the children and what would suit their skills. They all agreed: a sewing machine would be an excellent way to earn a contribution through sewing work.

After several conversations we are convinced that this can become a real source of support for the children and the adults – especially as local industry has already shown interest.

Our first goal is to buy five sewing machines. Locally, one machine costs around €200. If you would like to donate towards this, please use the reference “Nähmaschine”.
